Synix
Synix is a research and engineering program focused on long-lived memory systems for agents.
The site has four distinct layers:
- shipped software
- architecture in design
- draft protocol
- conceptual model
Components
Section titled “Components”Synix Build System shipped — Open-source declarative memory pipeline. Content-addressed storage, DAG execution, incremental rebuilds, provenance tracking, hybrid search. Python, MIT license, 10 releases.
Memory Architecture in design — Proposed architecture for moving from batch memory construction to continuously maintained memory with explicit lifecycle management.
Synixolis Protocol draft — Protocol specification for persistent state, lifecycle management, coordination, and fault isolation in single-node and multi-node deployments.
Foundations
Section titled “Foundations”The conceptual model is the theory layer behind the design:
- The thesis frames the architectural problem
- The CDR framework proposes three candidate structural properties: compress, divide, renew
- The Synixolis model describes the collective case
- Prior work maps related research and existing systems
Status
Section titled “Status”- The build system is the only shipped software layer.
- The memory architecture is partly inherited from the build system and partly still in design.
- Synixolis is a draft protocol, not a validated standard.
- The conceptual model is an active research program, not a finished theory.
